Sufism is a spiritual and mystical path and way of living which roots are very old.
It is not a religion and no theology. Sufism is a way, the way to your heart, the way of love and the way to come home in your real self. World famous poets like Rumi, Hafez and Shah Namatollah Wali describe this path in their own unique way. The rhythm of the heart is literally in all their poems. When this poetry is recited, the rhymths come to live again.

Who is Dr. Azmayesh?

Dr. S.M. Azmayesh is Sufi teacher. He comes from Iran and lives in Paris, France since 1976. He studied philosophy, theology, and religious science in Theheran. After arriving in France he completed his studies at the Sorbonne in Paris and he graduated in Religious Sciences. He is specialized in Gnosis and Sufism on which he published many articles and books. His strenght is the way in which he is able to talk about esoteric knowledge.

He approaches his listeners with warmth and wisdom, illustrating the themes with familiar examples and experiences from daily life.
He lectures in a clear way so new insights can break through within yourself. Again and again you are invited to think about the important questions of life, to go deep into the experiences of other great Sufi masters or to let yourself be touched by the music and mystical poetry.

Simorgh Ensemble :
Simorgh Ensemble is made of Dutch Students of Dr. Azmayesh’s Sufi school. The group members as well as being students of the Sufi schools are professional musicians in their own right. This group through their work try to put into practice many of rhythms, melodies and that are within Mystical Sufi poetry. The poetry used in their presentation is from Rumi and those that are especially written by Dr. Azmayesh for the purpose of demonstration the inner music of Sufi poetry.
